Terms and Conditions of Sale

These terms & conditions apply to the supply of goods from Ladders and Access to you, the customer, and by ordering, you agree to be bound by them.
Orders may be paid for by cheque, however we cannot dispatch any goods until cleared funds arrive in our bank account. Therefore an extended delivery time must be anticipated. To order by cheque please e-mail info@laddersandaccess.co.uk

All Sizes on this site are approximate, therefore Ladders and Access will not be held responsible for any deviation of the stated size.

Please note you should not cut any hole to fit loft ladders into until you receive the the ladder.

All images are for illustration only. As from time to time some products may differ slightly from the advertised picture. This is usually due to suppliers sourcing stock from different manufacturers and not updating the stock image.

All payments are processed through a secure encrypted server and are therefore secure.

Our terms and conditions will take precedence over any terms & conditions supplied or referred to by you the customer. No part of these terms & conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
When you place an order, it will be treated as an offer by you to purchase, and we reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. Dispatch of your goods will signify our acceptance of your order and will constitute a legally binding contract between us the seller and you the purchaser under these terms & conditions.

Prices shown on our website exclude and include VAT using the VAT toggle button at the top of the website.

All products include FREE delivery within the United Kingdom Mainland, however postcode Exceptions do apply:
Highlands Deliveries carry a surcharge of a minimum £20 excluding VAT
Northern Ireland Deliveries carry a surcharge of a minimum £35 excluding VAT
Please contact us for deliveries outside of UK, as we do deliver around the globe.

The order may be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch, however, a minium 6% surcharge may be applied to cover the cost of the transaction if the item has left us. Any cancellation made before 4pm on the same day as the order was placed, can be cancelled without any charge (providing the item is yet to be dispatched)

All deliveries should be made within 3-5 working days (Normally much sooner!). Express deliveries shall be made within 1 -2 working days of ordering *subject to availability. In the unlikely event an item is out of stock the Express Delivery premium shall be refunded to the buyer, if express delivery has been paid for.

Please note all delivery timescales and dates are estimates only. We do not gurantree any next day delivery. We will try our best to meet the delivery estimates we have given you but shall not be responsible for any failure to deliver ordered items within these stated time frames, once the items have been dispatched the couriers have full control of the item(s) and any delays they are subject too we cannot be responsible for.

Our Inclusive UK Mainland Delivery policy gives inclusive delivery to mainland areas of England, Wales and Scotland. For delivery to Northern Ireland / Republic of Ireland and other offshore locations, an extra charge, dependent upon the individual product will be charged. When your goods arrive it is important that you check that the items are in acceptable condition and the quantity of items received corresponds with your order.

In the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged in transit, you must contact us within 24 hours in order that we may dispatch a replacement as quickly as possible and minimize your inconvenience.
Please contact us should your order be missing any items so as we can contact our courier as soon as possible to chase the matter up.

Title and risk in the goods shall pass to you the purchaser upon delivery and receipt by our courier of a signed delivery note.

Items may be returned if they have been damaged. Notification of this must be done within 7 days of receiving the product. We recommend that you inspect the goods prior to signing for delivery. If the goods are damaged please refuse the delivery, the carrier will take the goods away and a replacement will be dispatched ASAP.

Only after we receive the returned goods can we refund the value of the goods in full (or partial; if un-damaged – see below) or dispatch a replacement item.

Should you decide that you do not wish to keep the item(s) and they are in an un-damaged state you must notify us within 48 hours and a Collection Charge will be charged. Alternatively, you can return the item back to us using your own choice of courier, and we will refund in full providing the item arrives in a re-sellable new condition.

You can return items up to 30 days from date of order providing it is still in an unused condition.

 

 

Please note the cost of delivery will not be refunded.
Should you decide to cancel your order and you notify us before 16.00 on the day you placed the order, no charge will be applied. This is providing the item has not been shipped out already. If, however the item has left the warehouse, there would be charges applied to get the item returned.

For Business purchases there may be a restocking fee for certain items, if you’ve decided you would like to return them.

Please note for certain items, including custom made and specials, we do not offer a return.

Listed below are the terms for qualification for the price match guarantee:

  • Price promise includes competitor discount codes.
  • This price promise includes the delivery charge from our competitor.
  • The product on our site must be identical to the one you’ve seen elsewhere.
  • Used/ reconditioned products are excluded from the guarantee.
  • The product must be in stock with the competitor.
  • Prices will only be matched before an order is placed.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw our price match guarantee at any time.

DISCLAIMERS AND RESERVATIONS

Ladders and Access Ltd. is not liable for typological errors in prices and product descriptions, changes in VAT and fees, or delayed or incomplete deliveries due to force majeure events.

Regarding Installation and Purchase of Staircases/Fixed Access Ladders

It is the customer / purchasers’ responsibility to ensure they check with their local authority that the product they are purchasing complies with local authority building regulations before purchasing.
